Likweti Estate Entrance

  • Client: Likweti Bushveld Farm Estate
  • Project Value: R2500000
  • Date: 2012
  • Location: White River

Overview

This contract commenced in August 2012 to December 2012. The total size of the contract was 156 m2 To enhance the entrance to the Likweti Estate a concrete structure was designed and build. The entrance structure was primarily built as a concrete structure with concrete beams and up stands as the focal feature. There were two wing walls built either side the main entrance guard house which supported the overhead roof at the entrance and exit to this wildlife estate. The central guardhouse comprises a small toilet, kitchenette and guarding facility. Two wing / abutment walls clad in rivens sandstone gave the entrance feature the unique bushveld appearance. There was an entrance wall built about 20meters from the guardhouse with signage and directions how to enter and exit the estate, finished off with under tree parking for non-residents. This all blended in with surrounding trees which are lit up at night to give a true bushveld feel to it.
