Total Service Station

This contract commenced in October 2016 to April 2017. The total size of the service Station contract was 2255m2 comprising of 321m2 retail trading area, 1679m2 of paving area and 255m2 of forecourt petrol pump area. This contract was initially split into two sections. The retail trading area and the forecourt tank facility area. The tanks were installed by a specialist contractor appointed directly by Total South Africa. The retail trade area comprised many small sections with the trading area being the largest of them all. There were small specialist areas like the pump control room and cashiers office. A kitchen was created and a restaurant takes away facility. At the back of the kitchen area storage areas were built for receiving of goods and cold-room fridge’s for the cold drinks. There were ablution facilities and disabled facilities added for the convenience of the trading public. Once the tanks were installed we had to complete the forecourt with paving, and marry up the levels with the concrete hardstand to make the entire petrol station user friendly to the public. Gabion stacks were installed as retaining walls to help with the shoring up of the soil due to height differences between the pavement and surrounding gardens.
